Ilene was born in Philly. It happened at a hospital. Her mom had a lot to do with it. The pediatrician was named Dr. Wellenbach, which is a better name than Dr. Sickenbach.
Ilene's mother was also her kindergarten teacher. Ilene didn't really know what to call her mom in class, so maybe she just raised her hand and said "Hey you." For grades 1-3 Ilene went to a school called City Center. It didn't have it's own building and it was in a YWCA. Downstairs it smelled like chlorine from the pool. When JFK was shot, the grandmom of one of Ilene's friends ran hysterical through the classroom.
For grades 4-8 Ilene went to the Julia Reynolds Masterman Laboratory and Demonstration School. It was called Masterman for short. It was across the street from a U.S. Mint. Her fourth grade teacher was named Mrs. Trawick and she had the same birthday (different year) as Ilene's little brother. Masterman's music teacher was named Miss Hageman and now Ilene realizes that she learned many good lessons from her. A song that Miss Hageman wrote is the first song on Ilene's third cd, "Weiss Christmas."

She also went to Lighthouse camp and did music stuff. So did alot of other famous people.
Then she went to Girl's High. Uri Caine went with her for her Senior Prom.
Ilene lived in Chicago for awhile and did stuff in Second City.
She baked a birthday cake for Stan Getz. It said "Happy Birthday Motherf***er." That wasn't her idea.
Next, Ilene moved to New York and played alot of gigs at Folk City and a bunch of other places. She is a singer-songwriter.
She has released 3 CDs. They are Outside and Curious, Obliviously and Weiss Christmas.
Ilene became a clown (officially). She works in hospitals with the Big Apple Circus Clown Care Unit. She sings fart songs and makes kids laugh.
Ilene was the Clown In Residence at the Hole In The Wall Gang Camp for 50 years.
Ilene now lives in Weehawken and collects old eyeglasses and paint by numberses.
